GLADIATOR PROGRAM

West Fresno Family Resource Center (WFFRC) and West Fresno Faith Based Organization (in partnership with State of California Workforce Investment Board) joined forces for the purpose of prescreening and identifying qualified job seekers for the VOICE Gladiator Program. VOICE is a coalition of diverse stakeholders, religious and community-based organizations. Twenty-Five Job seekers successfully completed the 4 elements of the program: 1) Basic Construction Training, 2) Mentorship, 3) Case Management and 4) Union Trades. WFFRC conducted Case Management. Activities with participants including: orientation; client intakes; facilitating assessment testing; conducting one-on-one sessions. Our Case managers conducted with each participant a comprehensive assessment to identify areas of concerns, helping develop an individual empowerment plan to address problem and track changes in family status.
